VisaNewZealand Launches Visa Service For US, Poland, European Citizens

United States, 29th Oct 2024 - New Zealand's International Visitor Levy (IVL) is a $35 fee imposed on most foreign visitors to help fund tourism and conservation efforts. This non-refundable tax applies to international tourists needing a visa or NZeTA for entry. US, European, and Polish citizens must obtain a New Zealand eTA (NZeTA) for short visits, valid for multiple entries over two years. Documents required include a valid passport, payment method, and email address.

IVL FEES FOR NEW ZEALAND

The number of international tourists coming to New Zealand grew significantly, reaching its highest. The growing amount of tourists is having a negative impact on New Zealand's infrastructure, environment, communities, and the social acceptance of tourism in specific regions. The influx of tourists is a significant issue again as travelers come back after the epidemic. The majority of foreign visitors to New Zealand are required to purchase a $35 International Visitor Licence (IVL). The goal of the IVL is to tackle current challenges in the tourism and conservation sectors. The International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) ensures that tourists visiting New Zealand contribute to projects that support the country's tourism and conservation efforts. It helps make tourism in New Zealand more sustainable and enriches both the country and its people. The IVL fund is distributed equitably between tourism and conservation efforts to promote investment that fosters profitable, sustainable, and inclusive tourism expansion, while also safeguarding and bolstering our environment. Most international tourists who apply for a visa/NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority) to enter New Zealand must pay a $35 non-refundable tax. This comprises visas for vacation (including working holiday schemes), student visas, and short-term work visas. It is collected through the immigration system, with visitors paying the IVL in addition to their visa or NZeTA payments.

NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR US CITIZENS

Residents of approximately 190 nations, including individuals from the US, can apply for the New Zealand eTA. Applying for a New Zealand eTA is fast and simple for US citizens. Introduced in 2019, the NZeTA, or New Zealand eTA for Americans, allows eligible individuals to travel to New Zealand for transit, tourism, or business purposes. Americans who are thinking about visiting New Zealand for a brief stay must possess a valid eTA electronically linked to their passport. The New Zealand eTA remains valid for a period of two years starting from the date of issuance. Citizens of the United States can stay in New Zealand for up to 3 months using their Electronic Travel Authority (eTA). Since the New Zealand eTA is a multiple entry eVisa waiver, individuals are able to travel to New Zealand on multiple occasions during the two-year validity period. To apply for a New Zealand ETA from the United States, US citizens must complete a short online application form that asks for the traveler's personal and passport information. Once approved, US citizens will receive a copy of their New Zealand eTA to the email address provided in the application form.

Documents Required for US Citizens

  • A passport that is valid for at least three months from the planned date of arrival.
  • Arrival and departure dates.
  • To pay the appropriate eTA fees, you'll need a valid credit or debit card.
  • A valid email address so you can receive your authorized New Zealand eTA in your Inbox.
  • A recent passport-style photograph of the applicant.

NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR EUROPEAN CITIZENS

In July 2019, NZeTA allowed eligible citizens to travel to New Zealand for tourism, business, or transit without needing a visa from the embassy. European Union citizens can stay in New Zealand for a maximum of three months without a visa if they possess an ETA. Before you travel to New Zealand for a short time, you must get a NZeTA. The NZeTA allows for multiple entries for brief visits throughout its two-year duration. It is important to emphasize that any EU citizen planning a short visit to New Zealand must obtain an EU visa in advance. A New Zealand Tourist ETA allows multiple entry visa waivers for New Zealand and is an electronic document that is valid. European citizens are granted a six-month visa-free stay in New Zealand with the New Zealand visa. The requirements for an ETA for citizens of New Zealand visa-exempt countries are really simple. Applicants must complete the New Zealand eTA application form with personal and passport information.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR EUROPEAN CITIZENS

  • Valid passport – you need to have a passport. Furthermore, you need to make sure that the passport is valid for at least another 6 months upon arrival.
  • Arrival and Departure Dates
  • Means of payment – You can use a credit or a debit card, but you can also pay using PayPal.
  • E-mail address – You will receive the ETA via e-mail in PDF format. Do not forget to print a few copies so that you have a couple of spares.

NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR POLAND CITIZENS

Visitors from Poland can choose to apply for a NZeTA through an online form. Individuals with Polish passports have the option to apply for a NZeTA visa waiver through an online platform before traveling to New Zealand. Individuals such as Polish nationals who do not require a visa must secure the New Zealand Travel Authority prior to arrival in the nation. Are you aware that Polish travelers must obtain electronic travel authorization? As of October 31, 2019, a new electronic visa waiver implemented by the New Zealand government is now mandatory for entry into multiple countries. Individuals from over 190 countries, like Poland, can meet the requirements to submit an application for the New Zealand eTA. Poland citizens passing through New Zealand en route to another destination must also possess the NZeTA. Polish citizens traveling to New Zealand for tourism, leisure, or business must have a NZeTa for stays of up to 90 days. The NZeTA visa waiver grants Polish holders' multiple entries to New Zealand during its 2-year validity, with a maximum duration of 90 consecutive days per trip. The online NZeTA application process is easy to complete, fast and convenient for travelers and does not require a visit to a local embassy or consulate.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR CITIZENS OF POLAND

  • A valid passport with at least six months of validation.
  • An e-mail address so you can receive your approved eTA visa waiver in your Inbox.
  • A valid credit or debit card to pay for the online application and IVL fees.
  • Biographical details (photograph)
